Our Founder

After high school, Chhaiya went to a Buddhist monastery (Wat Damnak) for an English education. He was a brilliant student with a big heart and a big dream. 

Through sheer hard work and perseverance, he graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Finance and could have found a well-paid job in the financial sector, but he made the personal sacrifice to pursue his dream to start an English language school in 2015. Chhaiya’s strong collaborative leadership and vision have enabled the school to grow to what it is today. His transformative leadership, commitment, dedication and enthusiasm for positive change were internationally recognized in 2024, when he was awarded the Equity Initiative Fellowship. Chhaiya has completed an inspiring and rigorous Induction Year and will now use his skills, knowledge and networks to bring about social change in Cambodia.    

Chhaiya also dreams to continue his education overseas so that he will be more equipped to help his people. His hope is to see Cambodia blossom into a of educated young people, led by authentic leaders.
